Small towns and rural areas were the backbone of this country for centuries. Today most are struggling to compete with big cities for some understandable reasons. Yet they remain populated with many beautiful, historic, and fascinating buildings and places as well as interesting people. My goal for this project is to document as much of this as possible before it disappears or changes beyond all recognition.
Kansas City Light
When I moved to Kansas City I made it a goal to try to capture the essence of this place in photographs. This won't be a short-term project but I'm going to love the journey.
People, places and things that recall how things used to be. We may believe things today are better or perhaps that they are worse. Either way these things are worth remembering, which is what photography is all about.
You'll find mostly landscapes, architecture, and homes in this gallery. So why call it "imagine?" When I see a place that makes me want to take a photograph, I also often makes me wonder who (or what) passed this way before.
Farm to Table
An homage to farmers' markets and to food in its most basic forms.
Cityscapes and Streetscapes
I love street photography, so if I can't find a home for a street photograph in my Kansas City or Flyover Country galleries you'll find it here.
I have a good friend named Jennifer who is an amazing gardener and tells me everything I need to know about flowers.
